On May 21, Zhongkai High-tech Zone held 2024 Ability Enhancement Training Course of Family Doctors’ Services Under Contracts and of National Basic Public Health Service Project. Its purpose is to further improve chronic disease patients’ health management with family doctors’ service under contracts in our zone, enhance the diagnosis of chronic disease, the patients’ treatment and the analysis and utilization of health data in the medical and health institutions at primary-level level, and achieve efficient management of chronic diseases. More than 100 staff members from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Medical Education Department and People's Hospital of Zhongkai Hi-tech Zone, as well as from various medical and health institutions at primary-level participated in the training.
Wang Tao, a general practitioner (G.P.) and expert from Huizhou Central People's Hospital, and Liang Chibo, Director of Dongguan Community Health Service Management Center, were invited to give on-site lectures in the training. The experts have explained the National Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Primary Hypertension and analyzed in detail the key links of the management of hypertension including diagnosis, treatment, referral, and long-term follow-up. They also elaborated on the analysis and application of big data in the health management of chronic disease patients, and explored the application of big data in quality control and risk assessment of chronic disease management.
With the targeted theme, this training enabled participants to deeply understand the importance and complexity of hypertension prevention and control, and master the core knowledge and skills in the management of hypertension prevention and control. They have recognized the role of big data in chronic disease management, and also have understood how to use big data tools to collect, analyze, and apply patient health data, laying a solid foundation for improving the ability of family doctors under service contracts and promoting the in-depth implementation of national basic public health service projects.
