The 43rd "Bird Festival” and "Bird Care Week” in Guangdong Province lasted from March 20 to 26, 2024. Recently, the thematic publicity activities of 2024 “Bird Care Week” were launched by our bureau jointly with Chenjiang Street Sub-district Office and Tonghu National Wetland Management and Protection Center, in Chenjiang Cultural Square.

　　With the theme of "Loving Birds, Greening Guangdong", our staff showed the public the poster boards with scientific knowledge of key protected birds and wild animals, and they also handed out 100 potted plants such as Kalanchoe blossfeldianas, which symbolize long life, pothos, and happy trees, namely Radermachera sinica to the citizens who participated in the activities. At the same time, the staff also carried out publicity and training on policies, laws, and regulations on the ecological construction of Guangdong, the full implementation of the Forest Chief Scheme, wildlife protection and forest fire prevention, as well as on other related laws, regulations and policies. More than 300 copies of publicity materials were distributed.

　　The residents nearby were attracted by the activities and participated in enthusiastically. The activities enhanced the public's awareness of wildlife protection, improved the public's awareness of loving and protecting greenery and further kindled their enthusiasm for participating in the ecological construction of green and beautiful HZZK (Huizhou Zhongkai High-tech Zone), and promoted the co-creation, co-construction and sharing of green and beautiful HZZK.
