Recently, under the guidance of Bureauof Science and Technology of Huizhou Municipality, HZZK Electronic Information Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the Research Institute") Expert Consultation Committee was established. This is an important measure jointly taken by the School of Physics of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China) (UESTC) and other universities & institutions with HZZK High-tech Zone to speed up the construction of the Electronic Information Technology Research Institute. Its establishment also marks an important achievement of HZZK in promoting high-quality development in the new development stage through pursuing new development idea, building new development pattern and well implementing Innovation-driven Development Strategy during the Fourteenth Five-year Plan period.

　　HZZK ranks the 5^th among 14 national high-tech zones in Guangdong Province

　　It is reported that the Research Institute, founded in September 2021, is a new research and development platform guided by the Management Committee ofHZZK High-tech Zone and supported by the technology of UESTC. According to Professor Xue Quan, Director of Expert Consultation Committee of HZZK Electronic Information Technology Research Institute and Dean of School of Electronics and Information Engineering of South China University of Technology, in the future, the Research Institute will focus on technological research, industrialization of scientific research achievements, talent training and incubation of small and micro enterprises to support the local economic development.

　　In recent years, HHZK High-tech Zone has gradually become a highland for scientific and technological achievements transformation. It has ranked first in terms of the total number of various intellectual property rights among others in the city for 9 consecutive years, first in terms of the total number of newly registered small and medium-sized scientific and technological enterprises for 8 consecutive years and first in the proportion of R&D expenditure in GDP among others in the city for 30 consecutive years.

　　In 2021, HZZK High-tech Zone’s ranking rose to the 32^ndamong 169 national high-tech zones. Today, HZZK has established a "5+1" industrial system consisting mobile intelligent terminals, ultra-high definition video display, smart energy, artificial intelligence, laser and additive manufacturing and modern service industries. It has also won 14 national titles such as National Electronic Information Industry Base and National Intellectual Property Rights Demonstration Park.

　　Recently, to fully implement the Innovation-driven Development Strategy, give full play to the supportive and leading role of scientific and technological innovation in development, bring forth new ideas in policy support and promote policy efficiency, HZZK High-techZone introduced “HZZK High-tech Zone Policies to Promote Science and Technology Innovation Development Featuring High-quality" aiming to provide support for improving quality of high and new technology enterprises, unlocking the vitality of the innovation entities, transforming scientific and technological achievements and bringing together innovative resources so as to constantly stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of innovation entities in various industries. To support the quality improvement of high-tech enterprises, each enterprise entering the District-level High and New Technology Enteriprise Incubator will be given a reward of RMB 20,000. While each enterprise authenticated as the High and New Technology Enteriprise for the first time will be given a reward of RMB 100,000 and for those authenticated beyond the first time, each will be given a reward of RMB 50,000.

　　So far, there are 685 national high-tech enterprises in HZZK High-tech Zone, ranking the 5^thamong 14 national high-tech zones in Guangdong Province. It is not only a core engine for Huizhou to implement national strategies and build a trillion-level electronic information industry cluster but also a major base to achieve innovation-driven development.

　　Gather scientific talents

　　Among the appointed experts attending the founding assembly, Professor Gong Yubin isa member of the national High-level Talents Program, Professor Xu Jun is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Physics of UESTC... This means that HZZK High-tech Zone is moving fast and steadily in promoting the gathering of talents.

　　It is reported that since 2008, HZZK has been constantly improving talent policy, increasing the strength of talent support, forming a "3+1" talent policy system that provides support for high-level talents, technical talents, trainees, interns and other types of talents.

　　Tang Jun, Deputy Director of The Management Committee of HZZK High-tech Zone said that the establishment of the Expert Consultation Committeewas a new start for the Research Institute. He hoped that the institute could cooperate with the experts sincerely and make concerted efforts to contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of HZZK.
