Ordinary citizens now have a powerful tool when handling government affairs! The other day, our journalist learned from HZZK Hi-tech Zone Administrative Service Center that the“Cantonese Smart Self-help” machines (hereinafter referred to as CSS) distributed in 38 administrative villages in HZZK providing government service are now activated in full scale. Thanks to them, villagers can have regular affairs handled by themselves inside their villages.

　　The person in charge of HZZK High-tech Zone Administrative Service Center told us that with the overall planning of Huizhou Government Affairs Service Data Management Bureau and HZZK E-government Office and the coordination of the rural commercial banking system,the Service Center had spared no efforts to promote CSS to fully cover all administrative villages in order to promote the service of government affairs extend and pave the“Last Mile”to reach ordinary citizens. By the beginning of January, CSS machines had been installed in all 38 administrative villages of HZZK enabling ordinary citizens to handle affairs by themselves smartly nearby.

　　We were informed that CSS is a comprehensive light smart terminal built by Guangdong Provincial Government for all administrative villages across Guangdong based on the context of use in the countryside. It provides services of 86 regular government affairs in 3 major categories of handling, printing and searching. Those include printing services for ID card copy, Certificate of Non-criminal Record, Medical Certificate of Birth and other certificates;searching services for car or ship tax payment details, housing contract details, agricultural product list with purchase subsidies covering human resources & social security, taxation, real estate, civil affairs, hygiene and epidemic control and other areas. Villagers can have regular government affairs handled by themselves inside their villages.

　　HZZK High-tech Zone Administrative Service Center has also made use of the functions of CSS to help prevent and control the pandemic among ordinary citizens. In the beginning of this Tiger Lunar New Year, confirmed cases were found in Tongqiao making the pandemic prevention and control work suddenly tough. But all village committees made full use of the newly installed CSS machines to print Canton Health Code, Travel Code for the elderly and children without smartphones and other special groups of citizens. They also reminded villagers who have not finished all injections to be vaccinated in time based on the vaccination information recorded in their Canton Health Code apps. This has effectively increased the coverage rate of vaccination at the grass root providing strong support in building anti-pandemic defensive lines in the countryside.
